Hello! Today’s card features some of the dies from the Santa’s Festive Crew set from Spellbinders. I really love the many options you have with dressing up the snowman, so I went with that.

I started off with the easy stuff. Black, orange, and white. Once I had the main pieces of the snowman die cut, I decided I wanted to jazz him up with some plaid. A point to note: you need the main Festive Ornaments die set to get the circle for the ornament itself. I found wintery colored plaid from Ink ‘N Splatter’s Winter Plaids and Patters 6×6 Paper Pad. I die cut the scarf, bow, and ribbon out of a plaid, then did the scarf again out of pink so that I could use it for the stripes in the scarf. I saved the pink scarf for another project.
After I assembled the ornament, I chose a really pretty snowflake patterned paper (that’s like 15 years old) for the background. My sentiment is from Spellbinders’ Santa’s Sippin’ Sayings stamp set that’s meant to go with this whole collection of ornaments. I stamped it with Warm Breeze VersaFine Clair Ink. Would you believe that that’s the only bit of ink on this entire card?! Crazy right? I even left my card base white! I added a bit of cream and gold baker’s twine to the top hat to “hang” the snowman.
Isn’t this so cute?! I love how easy it is to put together, and getting to use some of my patterned paper is definitely a bonus. Be sure to check out the entire collection over at the Spellbinders website. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
