Lucky Clovers

Uncategorized

23 Aug

Hello! We could all use a little bit of luck, from time to time, so I made a card using many clovers from Spellbinders new Gnome Drive Spring die set. This set is meant to be used with the original Gnome Drive Holiday die set, but I don’t have it, and I’d rather share ways to use it beyond what it was originally intended for anyway. More bang for your buck!

I wanted to cut out many clovers for the background, but I didn’t want just solid green. So I grabbed the Stampendous Holiday Splash Quick Cards Background and cut out a ton. I love the varying shades of green and the white speckles. I added the clovers to a piece of white cardstock and die cut the horseshoe that’s in the same die set out of dark green and gold foiled cardstock.

Using the same green, I stamped and heat embossed “lucky” which is from an old stamp set, called Dice & Diamond from The Rabbit Hole Designs. I added a gold strip behind it to ground the sentiment. I inked my card base with Rustic Wilderness Distress Ink.

This is the perfect type of card to do while watching TV, listening to an audio book, hanging out with family, etc. There’s no coloring involved, only die cutting, so you can set up a little work station and just die cut all of those clovers. I plan on making more of these because they look so great when finished. Be sure to check out the rest of the new release from Spellbinders. There is a wide variety of styles and themes! Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
