Hello! I am so in love with the full Pie Collection from Spellbinders. I’ve used it a number of times already. I love how customizable it is. Plus, it works with so many of the stencils from A Colorful Life Designs. Today’s card uses the new Graduated Line stencil with the Perfect Pies dies.

I applied Pixie Spray to the back of my Graduated Line stencil and laid it on to my Smooth Bristol Cardstock. I inked the panel with Villainous Potion Distress Ink, keeping the ink heavy at the bottom and lighter towards the top. Then I chose a coordinating eggplant colored cardstock for my pie. I die cut my pieces (going for a blackberry pie here) using assorted scraps of cardstock and built the pie. I added a bit of Vintage Photo Distress Ink to the crust to make it look more cooked.
I needed something to break up the background from the pie, so I embossed a piece of white cardstock with the Angled Mosaic Embossing Folder from Altenew. I added a piece of Kraft cardstock with my sentiment (from an old Sassy & Crafty stamp set) on top. I filled the heart in with Wedding Dress irRESISTables from Imagine. I added the purple residual ink I had on my blending brush on to the plate and the card base.
I love working with the pie dies because there aren’t a whole lot of fussy pieces. The dies are a good size to work with and they don’t take long to put together. And as I mentioned earlier, they work so well with many of the stencils from A Colorful Life Designs.
