Hello! I have another new House Mouse card to share today. Spellbinders just released 6 new House Mouse stamp sets and I am really excited about them. These stamps are always so adorable, and so much fun to color. The set I used today is called Tea for Two.

I colored the mice and flowers with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I painted the background with a Ultramarine Pale from my Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor set. This saved me a lot of time, and I didn’t “waste” a marker on that large area.
This stamp takes up most of an A2 sized card front, so I didn’t need to do much to finish the card off. I found a lovely purple cardstock that coordinated well with the flowers (they look like asters to me), but I didn’t want to leave it plain. I flicked on some Villainous Potion Distress Spray Stain and Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Spray. I used the Oxide for the Saltwater Taffy because I didn’t want the color to fade into the cardstock, and since the Spray Stains are translucent and the Oxides are not, I knew that was the right way to go. My sentiment, from this same stamp set was inked up with Monarch VersaFine Clair Ink.
That’s it for me today. I hope you’ll check out the rest of the new House Mouse collection from Spellbinders. And I’ll have more cards to show you with them soon. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
