Hello! What do you do when you have a monoprint that you don’t love? I sometimes die cut them, add more layers on top, stencil on them, or even stamp on them. Today, I opted to stamp on a print that wasn’t as cool as I had hoped, using the Oh, Bite Me stamp set from A Colorful Life Designs. Of course, I had to use one of their stencils as well, so I went with Rolling Waves.

The Gel Press print I made used Kaleidacolor Inks from Imagine in Bouquet. It just wasn’t working for me, but I knew it would be perfect for the fish. I stamped them with Nocturne Ink and fussy cut them out. Now I didn’t need to spend any time coloring them! On my card base, I used my Tim Holtz Brayer to add the same Kaleidacolor Inks to the edge, being sure to overlap the colors here and there.
For my background, I found a piece of patterned paper that was blue with some blue speckling. I inked the Rolling Waves stencil on top of it with Salty Ocean and Faded Jeans Distress Oxides. I cut the edges with my Deckle Trimmer from Tonic. My sentiment was stamped with Fantasia VersaFine Clair Ink.
