Hello! I’ve got a card today that uses the new Night Sky stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. There are a number of space-themed stencils in this month’s release, but they can all be used for things well beyond space. I decided to keep my card today within the theme though. Be sure to read to the bottom of the post for my coupon code, in case you decide to shop!

On a piece of Canson Mixed Media paper, I sprayed Distress Oxide Sprays in Villainous Potion, Salvaged Patina, and Crackling Campfire. After it had dried, I adhered the stencil to it with tape, and then used an old Brutus Monroe Glitter Glaze called Marmalade. Once the stars dried, they were sparkly and had lots of shimmer.

For my sentiment, I die cut a piece of purple cardstock which I spritzed with a bit of Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Spray, and then I heat embossed “Wish” from an older Gina K Designs’ stamp set. The “upon a star” is from the same set, and I stamped it on a light teal cardstock. I left my card base white.

The shimmer on this card from the stencil is so pretty. It’s more obvious in person. I really like how the Oxide Sprays bleed into each other too.
