Hello! Today’s card is the one I made last week for the very last FB Live for Doodles Paper Playground. It’s a bittersweet ending, but we decided to end with joy. I will miss sharing new Sparkle Blends with all of you, but I will still be making plenty of shakers! All of the information on the closing sale is on the Doodles Paper Playground FB Page, as well as in the Etsy shop. If you’d like to catch the semi-emotional FB Live, click HERE.

I made a few backgrounds with Ranger’s alcohol ink, Blending Solution, and isopropyl alcohol on Poster Board paper from Dollar Tree. I had some areas that stayed tacky, so I broke out Peach Princess Deco Foil from Therm O Web to give the piece some magic. It is so hard to capture how beautiful it is on camera.
We used an older die from Poppy Stamps for the shaker, and it came out so pretty. The gold foiled paper we chose for the word really brings out the gold alcohol ink on our main panel. I used Black Foam Tape from Therm O Web, which is nice and thick so our sequins has plenty of room to move around. We chose to use the Koala-ty Christmas Sparkle Blend because of the rich greens in it. It worked out perfectly. Unfortunately, that Blend has since sold out because of the massive closing sale that Doodles Paper Playground is having. But as I type this, there are other holiday Blends that can be substituted.
I hope you’ll check out the FB Live. Seeing exactly how we got the card to this point is always fun, especially because of the alcohol inks. Please be sure to visit the Sparkle Blends Shop and snag some amazing deals, through December 31st. Also, visit the Sparkle Blends Fan Club on FB to see what everyone has been making. The Fan Club will not be shutting down, because we want to see what you make even after the shop is closed. That’s it for me today. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
