Hello! Last month, during my FB Live for Stamp Anniething, we created a bunch of really cool Gel Press prints using a variety of stencils. We layered the stencils, played with lots of acrylic paint, and made some really great monoprints. Today I have 2 cards that have the same layout, but have different prints and colors. I needed to make cards for my son and his friend. They went to another drone competition with their team, and I wanted to wish them luck. I thought these Gel Press prints were pretty cool and worked for teenage boys. We used a 3″ x 5″ Gel Press for all of the prints during the Live, because you can fit many of them on to a single piece of copy paper and because they work really well on an A2 sized card.
I love the cool tones of this card. You can see in the monoprint that I used 2 different stencils from Stamp Anniething on it. For my sentiment on both cards, I layered up Stamp Anniething’s “Awesome” die 3 times and used the “you are” from their “You Bake Me Crazy” stamps from the Kawaii Cuties line. On this card, I used some dark blue cardstock and splattered pearly white watercolor paint on top for some added interest and shine. I also added a few sequins.
This version had a funky combo of orange and green, so I again due cut the awesome 3 times in coordinating colors. I found a cool patterned paper that looks like it had been stenciled or monoprinted, so I used that behind my focal layer. I of course added sequins to this card too.
These cards came together so fast since the layout was simple. You can easily make a ton of prints at once, and then recreate this look over and over, perhaps just changing the die cut sentiment and the background papers. I think they have quite an impact. The boys loved the cards, which made me happy. Be sure to visit the Stamp Anniething Stampers group on FB for more ideas, and hit up the Stamp Anniething shop. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
