Presents: Infinity Shaker

Uncategorized

Good tidings to you! I have a holiday card today that uses the new Presents stencil from A Colorful Life Deigns. This stencil can be used all year long, for many occasions, but I decided to go with a Christmas vibe.

This stencil has delicate lines, so I recommend using Pixie Spray from Therm O Web for most applications. It’s a low tack spray that will help keep even the thinnest lines in place as you apply your inks, pastes, etc. For this card, I decided to use Lindy’s Magicals from Lindy’s Gang in Freaky Frankenstein Lime. I used watercolor paper, tapped on the magical powders, and then spritzed the panel with plenty of water. With the stencil still adhered, I used a small brush to move the color around a bit. I left the stencil on the panel until the panel was almost dry, to prevent the color from seeping into the positive spaces as much as I could.

Next I built my shaker with a piece of acetate and the Holly Berry Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground. This Blend is super festive and bright. It worked perfectly with the colors in the presents. I also made my sentiment with a torn piece of vellum and a stamp from Tim Holtz’s Bold Tidings Mini set by heat embossing it with white. I kept my card base white.

The background was quick to make, and Infinity Shakers don’t take long to put together either. But the end result is bold and exciting. I hope you’ll check out the rest of the new release from A Colorful Life Designs. If you’re ready to shop, use my code, AlFan10 to save 10% on your purchase, not including Master Bundles.
