Greetings! I’ve got a holiday card to share today that uses the new Black Ice stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. It’s super graphic and filled with lots of sharp angles.

I was making backgrounds on my Gel Press Plate with the Fruitcake Kaleidacolor inks from Imagine and thought it would be fun to experiment with layering the stencil on top. After I chose my background, I used a silver embossing paste o top of the stencil. After it dried, I thought it was interesting that it was semi-translucent. Not sure if I like it or not, but it was a result I didn’t expect.
I chose a piece of another background I made with the Fruitcake Kaleidacolor Inks and stamped a sentiment from the Bold Tidings Mini stamp set from Stampers Anonymous. I love how much use I am getting out of this set. I tore the edges since the stencil has so many angles. I inked the edge of my card base with Lilac Posies Fireworks! Spray, by using a brush after I shook up the spray.
