Layered Bird Trees Scrapbook Page

Uncategorized

14 Nov

Hello! It’s been a while since I’ve made a scrapbook page, and I am excited to share one with you today. I had made some red embossing paste recently with white paste and some red paint. I made a good amount, so I used it on a couple of stencils, including the new Layered Bird Trees set from A Colorful Life Designs. And although I used red and green for the stencils, I don’t think it looked holiday at all, so I dug through my photos and found the perfect one to use with it.

Before I stenciled the birds, I did the trees with Rustic Wilderness and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxides. It’s really easy to line these stencils up.

I used a photo from one of our vacations, and I love how the red sign pops against all the green. I started die cutting a bunch of ferns from Hero Arts’ Mushrooms and Ferns Die Set with various green cardstocks. I also grabbed some Lawn Fawn plaid paper, and an embossed red cardstock, all to go on my distressed green base paper.

I gathered some sentiment strips, square mosaic rhinestones, and Cottage Ivy Fireworks! Spray for splattering. It took me some time to get all the pieces where I wanted them, but in the end, I think it all works together so nicely.

It felt really good to get a photo out of my storage box and on to a page. I had a lot of fun making it. I hope you’ll check out the full November release from A Colorful Life Designs.
