Hello! Yesterday, I shared THIS post that uses a lightbulb from one of my favorite stamp sets, Steampunk Alchemist from AALL & Create. I loved that card so much, I decided to use another lightbulb from that set (there’s 3 total, and lots of other cool stamps in the set) on a shaker card. A while back, during a FB Live, I had stenciled a piece of acetate with 2 embossing pastes from Brutus Monroe and Tim Holtz’s Rays Stencil. It just sat in my stash for a while, but that lightbulb really inspired me.

I used the same Gel Press print for my lightbulb as I did in yesterday’s post, embossed it, and gave it white highlights as well. It fit so well into the open area of the Rays stencil. I knew the perfect Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground that I needed to use…Light in the Forest. This Blend has such a beautiful mix of colors…forest and mossy greens, midnight blues, rocky grays…it’s truly one of my favorite Blends.
Aren’t those colors beautiful together? And I love the small details on the lightbulb from the Gel Press print. To back my shaker window, I used a piece of Tim Holtz paper from the Abandoned collection. It coordinated perfectly and has just the right amount of grunge. I die cut a black frame to complete the window.
I really love these lightbulbs, and although I have used them often, I am always inspired and happy to use them again. I also love the effect of the embossing pastes on the acetate. I’ll need to do that again soon. Be sure to check out all of the awesome sequins mixes from Doodles Paper Playground over at the Sparkle Blends Shop. At the time this post went Live, ALL Sparkle Blends are 40% off, and all other embellishments are on sale too. Also, visit the Sparkle Blends Fan Club on FB for more inspiration. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
