Hello! I’ve got a fun little shaker card to share today. Do you love to make s’mores in the summertime? We do at my house, although it’s always done in our backyard since we haven’t gone camping. I recently acquired Clearly Besotted’s Happy Campers stamp set and that was the inspiration for the card. I used the Toasted S’mores Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground because it was the perfect mix and theme. At the time of posting, this Sparkle Blend is 40% off!

I’ve gotta admit….I was a little intimidated to color this cute stamp the way I wanted. I rarely try to shine bold light on the subjects, so getting a fiery glow was a bit daunting. But, I think it came out pretty good. I colored these little squirrels with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I cut them out and found a nice inky blue for the back of my shaker window. I used some white reinker to splatter some “stars” on it. For my top layer, I used a (14 year old!) faux alcohol ink cardstock that I used to carry in my store. I love this stuff, but I thought it went really well with the vibe and look of the card.
Look at all of those teeny marshmallows in the Sparkle Blend! They are so cute. I added a couple of clear orange opalescent sequins from the PSL Season Sparkle Blend to mimic the fire. This Blend is also 40% off at the time of posting.
It’s a cute little card that can be used for a bunch of occasions…”thanks for being my friend,” or “let’s get together soon,” etc. I opted to leave off a sentiment for now.
