Hello! My card today is the one I made for my mom’s birthday. She’s an incredible sewer (she made my wedding dress, for example!) and I had been wanting to use the Lawn Fawn Sewn with Love Stamps and Dies in combination with the A Cut Above Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground.

Let me first say that the Sparkle Blend I used sold out just before I wrote this post…my apologies that it is no longer available. But I promise you, there are plenty of other Sparkle Blends for you to choose from if you are looking to recreate this card in a similar fashion.
I am loving the new 30 colors of Zig Clean Color Markers, and I know my mom loves them too, so that’s how I came to the color palette that I used. Those colors also go perfectly with the Sparkle Blend. I colored all of my elements up and die cut them. Then, I rummaged through my pile of backgrounds and found this one that used the Points of Interest stencil from Picket Fence Studios and a glitter paste from Brutus Monroe. My scalloped window uses a die from Stampendous‘ Build a Wreath Die Set.
The teeny scissors in this Sparkle Blend are my favorite part of this Blend. I also really like the soft, opalescent tones. My background paper is a scrap of patterned paper. I inked the edges of my card base with Salvaged Patina Distress Ink and then Rain Forest VersaFine Clair Ink.
The card came out so cute! I love all of the elements floating around the shaker window, and this color palette is so fabulous. My mom loved the card. Seeing the smile on someone’s face when they open a handmade card is always the best reminder as to why we do this craft.
