String of Lights Card

Uncategorized

15 Dec

Greetings! Today I have a new Kawaii Cuties card to share that uses the “String of Lights” stencil set. I really like this set because the stenciled layers are easy to line up, quick to ink, and are sized for slimline cards, but can be easily adapted for an A2 sized card, as I did here.

I inked my string and light casings with Cottage Ivy Memento Ink from Imagine. The red lights were done with Lady Bug Memento Ink, and the green lights were done with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink. I did each string of lights one at a time, to make sure I didn’t overlap where any of the lights would go. The process didn’t take long, and I didn’t need to adhere the stencils down. I didn’t need to use all of the layers either, which saved even more time.

I wanted a bold sentiment, so I pulled out the batch I had made from Pinkfresh Studio’s Perfect Sentiments Holiday stamp and coordinating dies. The sentiment was stamped with Shady Lane VersaFine Clair Ink. I decided to make the card an Infinity Shaker, so I made a pouch with leftover packaging and filled it with a line green glitter and an older Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground that is no longer available. For a similar look, check out the Holly Berry Sparkle Blend. I painted on some Lady Bug Fireworks! Spray for more color and a bit of sparkle. I use Fireworks! Spray with a paint brush much more frequently than as a spray.

I love how festive this card is. It was really quick to make, but it has a big impact. Plus, it’s relatively flat so it will mail easily. Be sure to check out the full line of Kawaii Cuties over at the Stamp Anniething shop. I’ll have a new tutorial for Imagine tomorrow. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
