Hello! I have a fun birthday card to share with you today that uses the adorable Chevron Dot stencil from A Colorful Life Designs, as well as the scrumptious Slimline Cake from Stampendous. This card is a party all on it’s own!

At any given time, I have a bunch of images colored that haven’t made it to a full project yet. I bet many of you have a bunch too. Sometimes, you just don’t know what you want to do with a colored image, perhaps you only feel like coloring, and not actually finishing a project…or maybe you’re participating in a coloring challenge and you just amass a ton of colored images. For this cake, I just wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with it. Until I got my hands on the Chevron Dot stencil! It immediately reminded me of this cake, so I chose Distress Ink colors to work with the Copics I had already used. The dots were done with Twisted Citron, and the chevron was done with Salvaged Patina.
Curious about my Copic colors? Here’s a list. RV09, RV14, RV69, RV21, BG01, BG05, E000, E59, E47, YR15, Y08, R32, YG41, YG11, G14, R20. I fussy cut the cake out and layered it on to my stenciled background/card base. I also added a teeny happy birthday. This card measures 8 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ when it’s folded, so you’ll need a piece of 8 1/2″ x 7″ cardstock to make it.
I love how this stencil and stamp go so well together. It’s a really happy card. For more totally unique stencils, please visit A Colorful Life Designs.
