Greetings! I have a new Kawaii Cuties card to share today. If you haven’t heard of Kawaii Cuties, they are the newest line from Stamp Anniething. There are several stamp sets, coordinating dies, stand-alone dies, as well as stencils. My card today uses some of the stamps from the Cute But Deadly, plus a couple of the coordinating dies.

I colored the stamped images with Copics first. That helped me determine what colors I was going to use for my background. This is the way I typically design my cards. Color the images first, and figure the background out later.
I decided to create an ink smooshed background with some Distress Oxides. I used Seedless Preserves, Cracked Pistachio, and Peacock Feathers. I applied the colors to my glass mat, sprayed them with water, and dipped my cardstock into the ink over and over again, occasionally drying between layers. This gave me a quick, fantastic background. But, I needed a spot for my voodoo dolls, and I wanted to break up the background a bit. So I took a strip of white cardstock and stamped the buttons from the Cute But Deadly stamp set over and over again randomly, in colors that worked with the background and my voodoo dolls. I adhered the dolls right on top of the strip so that they were grounded. My sentiment was stamped with Twilight VersaFine Clair ink.
I like that this card is playful, as opposed to scary or creepy. I think these voodoo dolls are just so cute! I’m sure I’ll use them in a more sinister way at some point, but these vivid colors make me happy. Be sure to check out the rest of the Kawaii Cuties over at the Stamp Anniething shop. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
