Hello! The White Rose Crafts shop has some great products to help you create amazing monoprints. I enjoy using those prints for a variety of things, and one of those would be cards. For my project today, I used a variety of products that are found in the White Rose Crafts shop.
I looked through my Gel Press prints to find one to work with and I came a cross the one here that was done with Ciao Bella’s “Washers” stencil and assorted acrylic paints. I trimmed it down and tore off the top, and I knew I needed to pull out the fantastic “Bombay Sunset” paper pad from Kaisercraft. I use it often, and it is a favorite of mine. I punched out one of the sentiments that comes in the pad too, and matted it with brown cardstock.
The cardstock I used had a very clean look to it, and I needed to grunge it up to coordinate with the monoprint I created. So, I inked my palette with Walnut Stain Distress Ink, added some water and splattered it on my background with a brush. I used the same color and a blending brush at the very edges of my card base. For a bit of shine and dimension, I added a few dots of Autumn Red Nuvo Drops cascading down the card.
I love the grungy, almost autumnal feel of this card. There is plenty to look at, without overwhelming your eyes. Please be sure to visit the White Rose Crafts shop soon, and use my code, “Alison 15” to save 15% off of your purchase. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
