Hello! The brand new January catalog from Stampendous is out and it is filled with lots of new stamps and fun ideas! This week, the Stampendous team is sharing projects that use the new POP Frame stamps and dies. My card features the new Leafy Frame stamp.

I started out by coloring the Leafy Frame stamp on watercolor paper using the Vivivia Colors portable watercolors set. After the frame was dry, I die cut it using the new POP Frames die set. I used one of the smaller wavy rectangles in the center of the piece to create a shaker window.
I filled the window with the “Grown Up Grape Juice” Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground, and backed it with a scrap monoprint I had created some time ago. On the monoprint I stamped “Smile” from the Smile Sentiments stamp set with Twilight VersaFine Clair ink. Behind my shaker panel, I applied an “ink smooshing” technique to my white cardstock using Peacock Feathers, Wilted Violet, and Picked Raspberry Distress Ink. Once that layer was dry, I assembled the card an applied dots of Gloss White Nuvo Drops to the card for added texture and shine.
Considering all of the different techniques I used on this card, it came together quickly. I enjoy combining many different techniques on one card, as I think it really adds to the interest of it. I love that the new POP Frames from Stampendous can be easily turned into shakers too, which is one of my favorite types of cards to make. Please be sure to visit the Stampendous Blog to see what the rest of the team is creating with these new stamps. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
