Greetings! It is Day 3 of the Gel Press and Sassy & Crafty Collaboration, and not only do I have a fun card to share, but I will be on the Sassy & Crafty FB main page for a Live today at noon EST. I’ll be sharing some ways on how to use a Gel Press with stencils. It’s going to be a lot of fun, and I hope you’ll join me.
For this card, I used 2 monoprints and Sassy & Crafty’s “Just Chillin’” stamp set. My yellow-green layer was made with the 6×6 Gel Press, as well as the Repeat Circles Gel Press. I used acrylic pant from Golden and DecoArt Media. The white shapes are from an old foam stamp I was experimenting with.
The heart is from the Gel Press Petites set called Lovely Days. On it, I used Sassy & Crafty’s Chevron stencil as well as some bubble wrap, for added texture. Once again, I used acrylic paint. This print was created after I had used the heart plate a few times that day, so there was a little bit of left over paint from previous prints, which I think really adds character. Both of these prints were made on plain old copy paper. After I cut and trimmed my prints, I stamped my sentiment and the tiny hearts from the “Just Chillin‘” stamp set with VersaFine Clair Ink in Twilight. I painted my card base with DecoArt Media’s Mister in Turquoise Shimmer.
I love these bright colors together, as well as the texture created by the monoprints. I really enjoyed using these 2 companies together, as I think they make a great pairing. I really hope you’ll join me today (11/14/20) at noon EST to watch me make some monoprints live on the Sassy & Crafty Page. If you can’t make it, you can always watch the replay. Meanwhile, don’t forget to head over to the Sassy & Crafty Instagram to check out the huge prize that’s up for grabs. I’d like to thank Gel Press for sending us their amazing Gel Plates. I am absolutely hooked on using them, and you’ll be seeing many, many prints from me. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
