Hello! It’s time for the Fall-Winter 2020 Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop. I really enjoy participating in this hop because there are always so many fantastic projects, and the prizes are amazing. Last week, I shared a card for the Cat Lovers Blog Hop, which you can see HERE. I have fallen in love with the cats in` the Thankful Kitty set from Stampendous. I love that you can change what they’re holding, I love their slightly crazy eyes, and I love that they’re fast to color.
I chose two cats and colored them with Copics (after stamping them with Gina K’s Amalgam Ink). I knew I wanted a coffee background, so I used the Coffee Bean Background from Rubbernecker Stamps, which I happened to have won during the last Coffee Loving Cardmakers Hop back in the Spring. I stamped it with Vintage Sepia VersaFine Ink on to Kraft cardstock.
To fame out my kitties, I die cut 2 of Stampendous’ Fitted frames using a coffee-themed paper from Echo Park, and a glossy, dark teal cardstock. I used a funny sentiment from Stampendous’ Coffee Frame set, and adhered everything to a brown card base. For some much-needed sparkle, I attached a few sequins from a retired Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground using On Point Glue.
I really like the combination of elements on this card. The cats crack me up, as does the sentiment, I like the 2 patterns in the background, and I think this color combination is fun. I look forward to checking out other entries in the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Hop. Please visit Stampendous’ Blog to see what the rest of the team made for the hop. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
