Hello! I love listening to music. I listen to it while I cook, when I’m in my craft room, I turn it way up when I’m driving….it’s definitely an important part of my life. I listen to a pretty wide variety of things too. From Nu Metal, to goth, to pop, tribal music, movie scores, jazz, rap, disco…the list goes on. Sassy & Crafty‘s new Sassy Girls-Sing stamp set totally speaks to me because of this. And while I’m absolutely not a singer, I think both of the Sassy Girls are fab.
I colored this gal with my Copics, and fussy cut her out. Then, I chose a monoprint background that I had made using the roll-off from my brayer (coincidentally, part of the same print that I used on my card on October 3rd. You can check it out HERE).
The image above is a little brighter than it is in real life because I wanted you to be able to really see what I did with the Comic Book Circles stencil. I applied some of Therm O Web‘s Transfer Gel Duo to my monoprint, and after it dried, I ran it through my die cut machine with a piece of the Purple Sketch foil sheet. I love how it came out! My sentiment was inked up lightly with Distress Inks, and I mounted everything on to a gray card base.
I am really happy with the end result of this card. I think the Sassy Girl really stands out, and the foiled, stenciled image pops against the monoprint. Combining these elements was fun, and i think they create a unique look. Please be sure to visit the Sassy and Crafty shop to see all of the new products released this month. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
