Happy World Card Making Day! White Rose Crafts is back, and I know that so many of you are excited about that. It’s been a number of months since we’ve been able to shop, due to Covid, but the shop is officially open again with some awesome new products on the way! For my card today,, I decided to break out some fantastic AALL & Create products and combine them on top of one of my latest monoprints.
My monoprint background is simply a “roll off” sheet. I cleaned my brayer off on it, and it creates fantastic texture and layered colors. I trimmed it down to 4″ x 5 1/4.” Then, I stamped one of the small collage stamps from the Poppies #207 stamp set with VersaFine Clair Ink in Monarch. Then I pulled out the stars from the Voyager #198 stamp set and inked it up a number of times with the VersaFine Clair Ink in Twilight.
Next, I took Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink and added a couple of small spots of the Abundance #85 stencil. I also stamped my sentiment from the Voyager set, again with Monarch ink. Last, I added a few touches of a white Gel pen to the floral stamp. I mounted this on to a gray card base.
I love the collage look for this card. I wish you could feel it….the texture from the monoprint is like suede, and it adds another dimension to the card. Be sure to pop over to the White Rose Crafts Shop and support a small business that was so affect by Covid. Lots of new products are on their way, so be sure to visit from time to time. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
