Hello! Today I have a project for White Rose Crafts. I am so happy that the shop is open again, and new things are going to be arriving soon, including stamps from one of the coolest companies out there, AALL & Create. My card today uses one of their stamp sets, that was designed by Janet Klein, called Lil’ Magic.
I really wanted to use the paper from Echo Park’s Just Be You pad, so I chose my Zig markers for my fairy based on the color palette in the pad. After I colored her and added the sentiment, I stamped a few of her stars, trimmed her, and inked the edges with Tattered Rose Distress Ink.
I chose a simple patterned from the Just Be You paper pad, and cut it at an angle. This gave me some room to stamp the fairy’s cloud on to some mint cardstock with VersaFine Clair ink in Twilight. I also framed out my colored layer with navy blue cardstock. Lastly, I inked my white card base with Speckled Egg Distress Oxide.
I enjoyed layering all of these papers together, and cutting the patterned paper is something I don’t think to do very often, but I like the look of it. I think it adds some whimsy to the layout.
