It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Halloween is quickly approaching, and I know that I am going to have a ton of fun Halloween projects to share with you. Today, I have one of the sassiest and most beautiful witches to share. She’s from Sassy & Crafty and is called Sassy Witch. She’ll be available starting September 4th.
Seriously…she’s H-O-T! I freaking loved coloring her! I used Copics, and then I verrrrrry carefully fussy cut her out. I wanted to create a scene where she was flying high above the trees, so I broke out Sassy & Crafty’s Tree stencil set. The cool thing about this set is that it has both the positive and the negative trees, so it makes it really easy to stencil and mask areas off.
I die cut a circle mask to make a moon, and I temporarily adhered it to my background, along with the positive tree line stencil. Then I ink blended a night sky with Black Soot, Seedless Preserves, Chipped Sapphire, and Salty Ocean Distress Inks. I splattered some white ink on to the sky to create stars, then I removed my masks. For my trees, I adhered the negative stencil of the treeline, and inked the trees with a forest green dye ink in one of my Kaleidacolor inks sets. I added a little Black Soot to deepen the color a little too.
I watercolored my moon to give it some texture and added a sentiment to the lower right corner. Truthfully, this is a card that I don’t think needs a sentiment, but I put it on anyway. I can always remove it.
I think this gal is a stunner, and I love how the whole card turned out. I’m so in love with this witch that I already started coloring her again for another project….but she’s colored completely differently. So be sure to look out for that later in the month. For now, be sure to visit the Sassy & Crafty shop to see out all of their awesome products, and don’t forget to check out the new release that comes out on September 4th. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
