Hello! I have a really fun card to share with you today that has a mixed media edge to it. It features the Sassy Girls- Fierce stamp set, along with the Honeycomb stencil from Sassy & Crafty.
How stunning is this gal? I colored her with Copics in bright colors and knew that I needed a “fierce” background to go with her.
I love that she’s pointing. That pose can be used in so many fun ways. I kept it simple thought with my sentiment.
For my background, I gessoed a piece of cardstock and applied some Gelatos to it by simply rubbing the color on, wetting it lightly, and blending it with my finger. Then I laid the Honeycomb stencil on top, and wiped away some of the color. Then, using the smaller honeycombs on the stencil, I applied some coral acrylic paint to the background. The finishing touch was a few sequins from Doodles Paper Playground.
I liked the background so much, I didn’t even give the card a border of solid color like I often do. I wanted it to look more like an art piece, instead of a card. I loved making this card. From coloring that Sassy Girl to playing with Gelatos and a stencil, it was really fun, and just a bit messy, which I thoroughly enjoy. Please be sure to visit Sassy & Crafty for more amazing projects! Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
