Greetings! It’s time to take a break from all the Christmas cards I’ve been sharing and show you a card for my personal favorite holiday, which is Halloween. Plus, Stampendous! is celebrating the July Catalog with a Virtual Catalog Party for their retailers! Each day a new product will be featured and there will be a video and other artwork spotlighting it. Be sure to check Stampendous!’ blog throughout the week so you don’t miss anything! Stampendous! just released the adorable Dome Jar Shaker Die Set that also has coordinating stamps, like the set I used today, called Corny Sweets. You can do so many fun things with this die set, but let’s take a look at what I made today.
I took a piece of white cardstock and die cut the mason jar out of the center. Then I sprayed it with a purple and green ink for some color. I cut the jar lid out of a crinkled silver paper and brushed some black ink on top to give it some more depth. Then I added acetate to the back of the jar panel. I just use leftover packaging from my stamps.
For the inside of my jar, I colored the focal image and one eyeball from the Corny Sweets set with Copics. I adhered the jumble of candy to my purple paper that backs my shaker window, but the eyeball is able to float around freely with the rest of my shaker bits. Also inside my panel is the Something Wicked Sparkle Blend, which is unfortunately sold out, from Doodles Paper Playground.
I love how the eyeball moves around with the Sparkle Blend! I mounted the completed panel on to a gray card base. I thought the gray was much better for this Halloween card, instead of white.
This is a such a fun card to play with, and since the imagery isn’t scary, you could easily give this to a child along with some candy. The new Dome Shaker Die set is definately going to be a staple in my craft room, and I will be sharing more creations with it soon. But for now, please visit the Stampendous Blog to see all of the wonderful new projects created by the Design Team. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a spook-tacular day!
