Hello! Did you catch the 3 day release from The Rabbit Hole Designs? One of the items that just came out was the Buggy for Caffeine stamp set, and I have a card that uses that set to show you today. I thought the ant in this set was adorable, and I couldn’t wait to use him.
I colored my ant first, with Zig Clean Color markers, and after I fussy cut him, I had to decide what I wanted to use for my background.
I found an old alcohol ink background that I made some time ago and thought that it represented dirt and moss pretty well. Then I found some patterned paper that looked sort of like ant tunnels. I inked the edges of the brown patterned paper to give it some more depth.
Of course, I added the chemical symbol for caffeine, as well as one of the sentiments from the Buggy for Caffeine set, but i felt like it needed more. So, I drew in stitched lines around the edges of my patterned paper and added some fabulous metallic washi tape from Queen & Co. No crazy techniques today, just using a few scraps. I think it came out cute! I’ve been on a mission lately to use up some of my scraps, so I am really pleased a used a couple here.
I hope this little ant is feeling better after he finishes his pot of coffee. Somehow, I think he might be making another pot. Please be sure to check out The Rabbit Hole Designs Blog, as well as The Rabbit Hole Designs Shop to get lots of ideas, and to of course, grab this guy (and his buggy buddies) for yourself! Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
