Dotted Flower

Hello! I am really excited to be sharing a card that uses the newest stencil from The Rabbit Hole Designs! You should be coming from the Michelle’s Blog. This stencil is called “Dotted Flower.” There are SO many fun things you can do with this stencil. Here’s just one example.

As soon as I saw this stencil (which is a 6″ x 6,” I knew I had to foil it. I thought it would look amazing with Therm O Web’s Iridescent, especially on black. Let me just say, it DOES, but it is hard to capture with a photo or two. I applied Transfer Gel through the stencil, let it dry, and then ran the piece through my laminator. The results are absolutely stunning in real life.

Because the stencil is so impactful, I decided to go simple with the rest of the card. I die cut a Sugar Script Big Hello sentiment from Birch Press. I cut the word out of silver foil (and a few layers of black cardstock for dimension), and the shadow layer is vellum.

I also used a silver metallic watercolor from Fine Tec around the outside perimeter of the card base. I have to say, it’s just fun to play with this card in the light to see the different flashes of color and shine!
