Hello! As you may know AALL & Create is now available at White Rose Crafts, and i am loving the stamps and stencil I have from them. I chose to work with the compass rose from the Voyager stamp set. If you hung out with me during my last Facebook Live, you got a sneak peek at this card before it was finished. If you’d like to see the Live, please click HERE.
I began by heat embossing my image and sentiment with Detail White Embossing Powder from Stampendous. Then I ink blended Iced Spruce, Evergreen Bough, Weathered Wood, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink on to the entire panel. The ink resists where the embossing powder is, so the white really stands out. Then I used the star pattern from the Voyager set with Champagne Delicata Ink.
To add detail to my compass rose, I colored in some of the areas with Faber Castell PITT pencils and with Zig Clean Color Markers. It helped make some of the details stand out. In addition, I put a drop of Moonlight White Brilliance re-inker from Imagine on to an acrylic block. I added some water and flicked it on to my panel with a brush.
Of course, I needed a little sparkle. The Delicata ink gave me some, but I needed more. So I broke out the Sweet Boy Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground and added just a few to my panel with On Point Glue. I also inked my card base with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink.
I love this color combination as well as this detailed compass rose stamp. I am having a blast with this stamp set. I look forward to showing you more projects with it!
