Greetings! Today I am sharing a card that I made for the White Rose Crafts November Sketch Challenge. To play, you need to add your own project to the correct album in the White Rose Crafts Gallery on Facebook. Here’s my take on the challenge.
I decided to use the November WRC Subscription Kit for this card. It’s called “A Merry Little Christmas” and it has some great items in it, including some wonderful double sided paper from Echo Park. I love the sweet little patterns on them, so that’s what I used on the card. In fact, everything on my card is from the kit, except for the brown and green cardstock I used on the reindeer, the pink cardstock, the ink for my sentiment, and the Sparkle Blend, which is called “Candy Cane.”
Since the patterned papers all coordinate, it’s easy to pull this sketch together. The hardest part is choosing which of the patterns you want to use! I opted to use the solid pearl cardstocks that are in the kit for behind the reindeer so that he’d stand out.
Keeping a lot of the card fairly clean and simple helps to not make the patterned paper too distracting. I think there’s a nice balance of pattern and plain. You can also use up a lot of scraps by remaking this sketch.
I hope you’ll join us in the White Rose Crafts Gallery on Facebook so that you can play along with the sketch challenge as well. We’d love for you to participate! But before that, head over to White Rose Crafts to check out all of the goodies in the November Subscription Kit. It’s a great value. Don’t forget to use my code, “Alison 15” to save 15% off of your purchase. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
