Hello! Today I have a new card that uses products that you can find at White Rose Crafts. It features Hot Cocoa Hugs from Your Next Stamp, as well as paper from Craft O’Clock’s Brr…It’s Cold Outside 6 x 6 paper pack.
I decided to continue with the theme we had last week, which was “Distressing.” Although I didn’t take this idea too far, I did do some of my favorite techniques for distressing. First, I colored my image with Zig Clean Color Markers. I also added some sparkle with a Kuretake sparkle marker, just on the whipped cream.
Then I tore the edges around the image for the first bit of distressing. I love the look of torn paper, and I think it adds great texture to my cards. Then I inked the torn edges with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide, which is another fun way to distress things. You can get completely different looks, depending on what color ink you choose to work with.
The patterned paper I used from Craft O’Clock has a bit of an aged look to it….it seems to be a bit worn, and I really like that style. I added a few sequins around the image from Doodles Paper Playground’s Sapphire Sparkle Blend with On Point Glue from Imagine.
Big stamped images like Hot Cocoa Hugs make for quick cards, as they take up a lot of room on the card front. I really like the paper pack from Craft O’Clock too….they’re perfect for Wintry or holiday cards. That’s it for me today. Please be sure to visit the White Rose Crafts shop and use my code, “Alison 15” to save 15%. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
