Greetings! This week, The White Rose Crafts team is sharing projects featuring the products from Tim Holtz. The White Rose Crafts shop has many of his items including inks, sprays, stamps, and more. My project for today features some Distress Inks and one of his stamp sets.
I started off by going through the “Blueprint Assortment” stamp set to see which images i wanted to work with. I thought the camera, globe, and compass looked really good together, so I went with those. I started off by stamping those images on to cream cardstock with VersaMark ink, and heat embossing them with Super Fine Clear powder.
Then I smooshed some Crushed Olive, Vintage Photo, and Peeled Paint on to my craft mat and I sprayed them with some water. I dipped my cardstock into the wet ink several times to get the background going. Once I was happy with it, I used a paint brush to paint in the stamped areas with Vintage Photo so that they would stand out more. Then I splattered some vintage photo all over the background.
When the background was dry, I stamped “Live Life” from Kaisercraft’s “Greenhouse” stamp set (I only used part of the sentiment) with VersaFine Clair ink in Acorn. And last, I attached some “Caffeinated” Sparkle Blends to the card with On Point Glue. The “Gingerbread Man” Sparkle Blend would be a good substitute since “Caffeinated” was only available in a WRC Subscription Kit. I distressed the edges of the background a bit and then I mounted it on to a cream card base and called it complete.
I think this type of background works really well with this style of stamp. This card came together really easily and I am very happy with it. Tim Holtz products are some of my favorites to work with, and I am really happy that White Rose Crafts has such a nice assortment. When you head over to the WRC shop, don’t forget to use my code, “Alison 15” to save 15% off of your purchase. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
