Hello! Today I am sharing a card that uses Alcohol inks and foil. Using the 2 items together can create some really beautiful looks. I love the end result, so take a look.
I started off using a sheet of Poster Board from Dollar Tree. I had watched a YouTube Video from Mary Polanco in which she shared her results in working with these large, inexpensive sheets, and I just had to give it a try too.
The darkest blue areas that you see in the photos are actually the areas with foil. When the foil pools a lot, it often becomes tacky, and doesn’t dry well. That’s why using the foil is not only a beautiful addition, but a helpful tool as well. The foil sticks to the alcohol ink, and then you don’t need to worry about the tackiness anymore. Once i had completed my alcohol ink and foiled background, I chose to use a retired whale stamp from Stampendous. I absolutely adore this image, and coloring it in different ways is a lot of fun.
I popped the whale up off of the “water” with foam tape, and I added a sentiment from the Ocean Wisdom stamp set and inked it up with StazOn ink. Then I added some assorted Sparkle Blends to add additional shine to the card.
I think alcohol ink and foil are two wonderful products to use together. And depending on your color choices, you can get vastly different looks. I am excited to try new color palettes with this technique. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
