Hello! This week, the Stampendous team has been sharing projects that are “Totally Wild.” There are a lot of new jungle animals and foliage from the April catalog that we’re highlighting, and I bet you’ll find something that you’ll like. I chose to work with the Giraffe stamp and die set and the 6″ x 6″ Fern Garden.
I started off by coloring my giraffe with Zig Clean Color markers, and I added some highlights with a white Posca pen. I cut him and the accompanying circle die with tree out, and I used the circle die that comes with the Windowrama to trim the outer circle. This giraffe stamp and die set are meant to go with the Windowrama, but as you can see, you don’t have to use them with it.
Behind my circle die, I used a background that I made with Distress Oxides. I thought it looked like an abstract sunset. For my background, I inked up the Fern Garden with 3 colors of chalk ink from Color Box. I applied the inks directly from the pads, which gave lovely green mottling to the the image. I also added a sentiment from the giraffe set and adhered everything to a black card base.
There are a ton of fun new products in the April Stampendous catalog. I hope you’ll head over to check them out. I will have lots of new cards to share featuring many of the new items. If you’dd like to see more “Totally Wild” projects, please visit the Stampendous Blog. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
