Hello! I am excited to bring you my first of two posts today. This post is for the House Mouse & Friends Blog Hop. My second will be for Aurora Wings. You can click HERE to see that post. But don’t leave yet! Read to the bottom of my post to find out how you can have a shot at winningMy House Mouse project features the adorable Nurse Mouse stamp. My full instructions and supply list is below.
Supplies:
Stampendous:
HMP62: Nurse Mouse
DWLX7026: Chevron Stencil
STF082: VersaFine Onyx Black Ink
Others:
My Colors Cardstock: Ocean Side
Zig Clean Color Markers: 010, 020, 024, 028, 029, 050, 052, 064, 065, 069, 071, 072, 090, 091, 092, 094, 095, 096, 098, 222, 260, 302, 900, 901, 902
Imagine: Silver irRESISTable Pico Embellisher, StazOn White Opaque, Sponge Dauber
Canson Mixed Media Cardstock
Ranger: Water Brush
Beacon Adhesives: Zip Dry Glue
Red Cardstock: unknown
Directions:
1. Stamp the image with VersaFine on to Mixed Media paper. This paper holds water well, so since I used a water brush for parts of the image, I decided to use this brand. Color the image using the markers listed above. I used the water brush for blending out the shadows, and the stethoscope. Crop the image down and set aside.
2. Make a mat for the image using Ocean Side cardstock. Attach to the image using Zip Dry glue.
3. Create the card base out of a Chinese Red cardstock to the size of 5 1/2″ x 8.” Tape the Chevron stencil on top of the base and apply StazOn White Opaque using a sponge dauber. I use an old dauber that is just for StazOn, as it’s hard to clean up after using solvent ink on it. I didn’t want a perfectly stenciled image. I went for a softer look for this card.
4. Attach the image and mat to the card base using Zip Dry. Add a few dots on the lower left and upper right corners using Silver irRESISTable Pico Embellisher.
This was such a fun stamp to color. I really liked coloring the stethoscope. Now, since you’ve gotten down here, how about a chance to win this sweet Nurse Mouse stamp? Please leave me a comment below, and tell me what medium you like to color your House Mouse stamps with. I will choose one random winner to receive this stamp. Please be sure to leave your email address. This contest is open to U.S. residents only, and is sponsored by Stampendous. I hope that you will hop along with the House Mouse & Friends Blog. You can get all of the links and information there. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

I color with Copics, generally. I am trying colored pencils, but they don't look great when I use them…I need to learn. I LOVE that little scene of the medical mice 🙂
