Greetings! It’s officially the most wonderful time of the year! Today is Day 1 of the 31 Days of Halloween. I have participated in every 31 Days (what are we at? Year 5?) and I am so excited to be doing it again. For my first project. I use a bunch of Stampendous’ newest Halloween images.
I started off with the fantastic witch label from the Halloween Labels Cling and Die Set and colored it with Zig Clean Color Markers. I then stamped the spiderweb and a spider from the Spider Fear set and embossed with with Star Dust embossing powder.
I created my card base out of Sweet Potato cardstock and stenciled the Swirls Stencil with Gray Flannel Memento ink. I didn’t make it solid, rather I wanted the stenciled image to fade in and out of the background. Then I inked up the bottom edge of the card base with VersaMark ink and then heat embossed Marcastie Embossing Powder on top. The card needed a little something further, so I stamped a sentiment from the Spooky Wishes set on to vellum with StazOn ink in Jet Black. I thought this would make a spooky invitation to a Halloween party.
