I have some great pre-cut wooden pieces that I like to make small signs with. This piece is about 4″ wide…perfect for the dog skull stamp from Skulldoggery. I gessoed the wood and then used some simple techniques to paint the piece. After I was happy with how the wood was painted, I stamped the images with VersaMark ink and embossed them with Clear Bark embossing powder. Then I opened up the Mister bottle and taped the straw to get the drops of black. I love how opaque the color is.
I added some copper wire so that the piece can be hung. I like how easy it is to achieve an aged look usg various colors from the DecoArt Media line. I love working with these paints and mediums. I’ll have another piece to share with you on Friday that I am really excited about. Below are the rest of the folks hopping today. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
