Not all witches are wicked. If anyone knows that, it’s you folks that are hopping through the 31 Days of Halloween, but for my Day 6 project, I decided to use the Wicked Witch of the West for my focus.
I used the new stencil called Framed Witch by Stampendous. I stenciled her in 2 steps. First, I did the witch herself. I taped off the frame so that the Matte Black Embossing Paste wouldn’t travel where I didn’t want it. After I removed the stencil, I sprinkled on some Forestry Metallic F/X Powder on to the areas of her skin. After that dried, I re-taped the stencil, this time, over the cameo and I applied Bronze Creative Medium from Imagine and I let that dry.
Next I used a Fitted Frame to die cut around the stenciled image. I also inked the edges with Black Shimmer Delicata Ink from Imagine. Using the same gray cardstock, I cut a 6×6″ piece for my background, and stenciled the Corner Flourish with the Bronze Creative Medium. More black Shimmer on the edges, plus a bit of a green shimmer rub from a company that is no longer in business. Then I tore a fun spiderweb paper from DCWV and added it to the lower half. I had some cool gold “ribbon” that I added for some more texture.
