Hello! It’s my second post of the day! I have a new project featuring the A Day for Daisies July Club Kit to share with you today. The Club Kit has beautiful fairy queens and flowers, and I chose to work with Fairy Queen Primrose.
I used watercolors for the fairy, and I did a loose fussy cut around her. She’s so lovely.
My background was done directly on my card base. Which, honestly, I don’t recommend doing unless you are working on watercolor paper. I just used a pre-fabbed card base from Michaels and it got pretty warped. Why? Because I used Color Burst on it and I sprayed lots of water. After it dired, I wrestled around with it a bit to get it to lay a bit flatter.
I love the effect the Color Burst in the background, but to add a little extra bit of oomph, I used 2 of the foliage stamps from Stampendous‘ Fronds Perfectly Clear set in Gray Flannel Memento Ink from Imagine. I thought that black would be too harsh. Please check out the A Day for Daisies Blog to see what the rest of the team has created. And be sure to look at my other post for today, featuring a new stamp from Stampendous. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
