Hello! Have you heard? The Imagine AIRs have been hopping with Stencil Girl! If you have been here before, you know I loooove me some stencils, so this collaboration was very exciting for me! The teams are hopping for 3 consecutive Saturdays, and this is week 2. I have the entire list of hop links at the bottom of the post. Be sure you don’t miss anyone!
I decided to to create an extra large gift tag with my new stencils. Using red cardstock, I taped down the Journal Texture #8 Stencil and inked it up with Golden Glitz Delicata ink. I promise you, this is the BEST gold ink you will ever use! The Journal stamp only has 2 diamonds on it (it’s a 4×4″ stencil), so after I inked up the first pair, I moved over the stencil, lined it up, and inked again.
Next I wanted to do something textural with the Urban Insiders Star. So I took some evergreen cardstock, taped down the star, and slathered on some yummy Iridescent Green Creative Medium. After the medium dried, I gave the stars a loose fussy cut.
I then took a vintage alphabet from Stampendous and stuck the word “joy” on to an acrylic block. I inked that up with White Shimmer Delicata ink and stamped it a few times on my tag. It’s subtle on camera, but shows up really nicely in person. I added a large red eyelet to the upper left corner and some red twine to finish off my tag. This could also be a ginormous bookmark, but I like the idea of using it as a tag. To give you an idea about the size, it’s approx 4″ x 8.”
Take a look at the info below to get the scoop on the amazing giveway, and the full hopper list. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
We’ll be picking one lucky winner
to receive $100 in Gift Certificates – a $50 Gift Certificate for StencilGirl Products and

I can imagine the tag being nicer than the gift itself. You did a great job.
Oh Alison, I am a HUGE fan of beautiful tags and I LOVE this one! I don't have any stencils yet but I WILL be getting on the 'stencil train" very soon and I WILL be trying this! Just awesome. TFS!

What a wonderful project…I never thought of urban insiders as a "Christmas" kind of stencil but it just goes to show if you set your hat to do something…just wow! mrsjetjr at yahoo dot com

Gorgeous combination of shimmer and texture
I kinda think the TAG is the gift! I would probably like more tags than most gifts, unless it was a tag attached to a gift card to Stencil Girl or art products. Thanks. cbfigiel(at)gmail(dotcom)
I love the tag! I'm thinking a bunch of these made and hung across a window, staggered, would make a cute
christmas window decoration. Thanks for sharing!

This is soooo pretty, especially with the stars and shininess! As a teacher, I love the idea of this being a bookmark, but it would also be great to use as tags for folder labels, storage boxes, or even name tags on lockers for the students! There is no end to what these could be used for!
Love the tag!!! I really want to try these products!
Tags are wonderful any time of the year. I really like your choice of stencils!! mcssuetexas(at)yahoo(dotcom)
I spent one Christmas making tags and can see from your project that I need to return to it again. Thank you for the reminder!
