Hello! I am excited to share my card with you today. I have been wanting to create some cards for Pride, and this is the first one I’ve made this month. I know….it’s almost the end of Pride Month, but it’s something that should be celebrated all year, and not just in the month of June. I chose to use the Ribbon Star Stencil from The Rabbit Hole Designs for my card, along with some simple painting.
I began by painting my background with Dylusions Sprays. I really love to paint with sprays, because it gives me so many more options than just using it as a spray. This is especially good when a nozzle is super clogged, and you just can’t seem to get it clean. I allowed my colors to blend on my background, and then I let it dry.
Then, I taped my stencil down to the panel and spread copper embossing paste across the whole thing. I peeled the stencil off right away and cleaned it while the paste dried.
I stamped my sentiment, which is from the Old School Tattoo- Affirmation stamp set in black. This is my favorite stamp set from The Rabbit Hole Designs. I created a black card base for my completed panel, but I felt that it needed a bit more sparkle. So I took out my Kuretake watercolors and painted the base in a cool golden color, which looked nice with the copper paste.
I really love how this card looks, and I also like that it is really quick to create, minus the drying time. These colors are so vibrant, they just make me smile, and the stencil adds even more joy to the card. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
