Hello! I have another card today using one of the Block Print Zodiacs from Spellbinders, and this time I’m using my own zodiac which is Capricorn. This collection is so unique, and I don’t just love the subject matter, but the style as well. They make such perfect birthday cards, I really want to get the entire collection.

On a piece of gray cardstock, I used Nocturne VersaFine Clair to make my BetterPress impressions. This cardstock isn’t thick enough to get the deep impression that cotton cardstock does, but the BetterPress still looks amazing because it’s so crisp. I tore the edges of my cardstock and then used Charcoal Suit Ink from Altenew to make those rough edges stand out more.

I used my Silvery Shimmer Delicata Ink Refill to create splatter all over my black card base. I applied a couple of drops to the edge of an acrylic block, added just a little water, and then flicked my brush across the ink. To ground my focal elements, I added some medical gauze behind them.

These Block Print Zodiacs are so wonderful to work with. You can create so many styles of cards and I really like using the gauze with them to soften the look a bit and add some texture. You’ll see that my Taurus card also uses gauze. Please visit Spellbinders to see all of the latest releases. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
