Hello! Today I’m combining the new Chaos Squares Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs with the Wonder of Oz Collection from Spellbinders. I had the main components on my desk for a bit, and then I realized they worked really well together, so the card came together fast.

I had first colored the Scarecrow from the Tinman, Scarecrow, & Lion BetterPress and Die Set. I used Strathmore Smooth Bristol Cardstock with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink and painted him with Koi Watercolors. My sentiment is from the Wonder of Oz Sentiments BetterPress & Die Set and I inked it with Pinecone VersaFine Clair Ink.

I inked the Chaos Squares Stencil on top of a soft monoprint made with Cappuccino Delight Kaleidacolor Inks. I used Sand Castle, Tiki Torch, and Over Coffee Inks from Catherine Pooler. I used those colors to ink up the edges of my sentiment too. Behind the stenciled panel, I added a piece of patterned paper from Photo Play Paper’s Camp Happy Bear 6×6 paper pad. I mounted everything onto a brown card base.

I often stencil, color, or create element without knowing what I’m going to do with them. Sometimes, I can get them right onto a card, other times, they sit around for a while. But then I suddenly get an idea and I can create something cool with them. I was really happy I was able to combine this stenciled panel with the Scarecrow. I’m so happy with how they look together.
