Hello! Today I’m sharing a card that uses two BetterPress Plates from Spellbinders. The focus is on the Hundred Acre Wood Press & Foil Plate. This is such an iconic map, and while at some point I’ll add die cut characters on top, I wanted to make my first card really highlighting the sweetness of the map itself.

I used Porcelain Cotton Cardstock and Pinecone VersaFine Clair Ink to get my impression of Hundred Acre Wood. Then, I started to paint the scene with Tim Holtz’s Distress Watercolor Pencils. I used Set 5 and Set 6. I love that these sets each have a full rainbow of color. I only have these two, so my palette was limited, but they still worked beautifully for the map.

The map takes up an entire card front, so I simply adhered the watercolored panel to my white card base. I wanted a sentiment, so I used “There is no place like home” from the Wonder of Oz Sentiments BetterPress & Die Set. It was also inked with Pinecone VersaFine Clair Ink and watercolored on the edges to blend in with the map.

It is so relaxing to work with these watercolor pencils and just paint. I really enjoyed making this card so much. Have you seen the rest of the new Say Cheese Classic Pooh Baby Collection from Spellbinders? It is so sweet. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
