Hello! I am excited to share that Catherine Pooler has an awesome new collection that’s dropping on October 15th, and it’s all about being cozy. How do YOU curl up? I love to craft, of course, and I also love to read. I enjoy baking too, especially with my daughter. All of these things just happened to be depicted in this collection. I decided to make my first project with these papers, stamps, dies, and inks into a tag for cookies. It just so happened that my daughter bakes a batch of her delicious chocolate chip cookies, so I wrapped up a few and added the tag I made.
I started with the Personalize This stamp set, that will be FREE with purchases of $50 or more using the code MADEBY at checkout. Again, this won’t be active until October 15th. I stamped the design with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink because I wanted to color it with Copics. I used a couple of BV markers, 2 R’s and a couple of E’s for the pie. Then, I die cut it out with the coordinating die set.
This collection includes a fabulous set of patterned paper, called Right at Home. I love the designs and the colors are wonderful. I opted to use the plaid. To get the scalloped edge, I used the new bookmark die set that’s also in the collection. You’ll be seeing more of that later this month right here on my blog. I wanted to distress the paper a bit, so I used some tape here and there to remove some of the color from the plaid. I wrote in my daughter’s name using a black pen. I grabbed some bakers twine, wrapped up the cookies in cellophane, and added my tag.
I think this came out so cute! What a fun way to wrap up a little homemade gift. And just wait until you see the rest of the collection! I can’t wait to share more projects with you.
