Greetings! I have a card using one of Simon Hurley and Spellbinders‘ newest die sets, called Bewitched, and it’s a purrfect kitty. I got to have some fun with patterned paper for this card too. Of course, I went full Halloween mode on it.

I die cut the kitty using basic cardstock colors, and I found some patterned paper I used for the hat. I didn’t want to just do basic cutting of paper to make frames, so I pulled out the new Bow & Bell Scallop Frame Die Set from Lisa Horton and Spellbinders. It created perfect layers with my patterned paper. Some of that paper is over 15 years old!

I inked the edges of my card base with Royal Treatment Ink from Catherine Pooler. That is such a fantastic purple! Bewitched has a “Happy Halloween” sentiment in it, but it was too big for the way I laid out the card. So I stamped the “Happy Haunting” from Hero Arts Card Kit of the Month for August 2025. It was perfect.

I love the expression of this cat, and if you’ve been following me for a while, you know I have a very big soft spot for black cats. These two die sets went together so well, and I’m really happy I used so many patterns on this card. Please be sure to visit Spellbinders to see all of the latest releases. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
