Hello! Today’s card is my favorite that I’ve made so far with the Say Cheese Classic Pooh Collection from Spellbinders, and I’ve made a bunch. I combined 2 of the die sets, a sentiment from the BetterPress set, and did a bit of ink blending for this charming card.

I started with the Pooh & Piglet Die Set which I cut with classic colors and kept things light, as opposed to the richer colors of more recent versions of these characters. I did a bit of ink blending with Scattered Straw Distress Ink on Pooh, and Saltwater Taffy and Cracked Pistachio on Piglet. Next I used the Pooh’s Hunny Pot Die Set. I decided to put the friends inside the pots, so they could really enjoy this sweet treat. I don’t think Piglet is enjoying himself, though. I used Wild Honey Distress Ink on the honey, Antique Linen on the labels, and Walnut Stain on the pots.

I didn’t want to create a full “scene” but I needed to ground them somehow. I decided to use the Honeycomb Mask from A Colorful Life Designs (use code AlFan10 to save 10% there), which I ink blended with more Wild Honey Distress Ink. I also added a bee from the Hunny Pot set. My sentiment is from the BetterPress Bundle, and I inked it with Fallen Leaves VersaFine Clair. I inked the edges of my card base with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to bring a bit more blue into the card.

I seriously love this card. These dies are so adorable, and they’re pretty easy to work with. I really like this color palette too. I have so many ideas for this collection still, and as I mentioned, I have already made a bunch of cards. Be sure to visit Spellbinders to see the entire Say Cheese Classic Pooh Collection. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
