Greetings! Today I have a fun card that is perfect for kids or the tecchies in your life. The Calibrated Lines stencil from A Colorful Life Designs was the jumping off point, as it reminded me of binary code. What do you think of when you see these lines?

I knew I wanted to use some of the robots from the Clearly Besotted set called Mini Bots (discontinued). I colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens and fussy cut them out. Based on the colors I used for the Bots, I was able to choose the rest of the colors for the card. The Daybreak Paper Pad from Scrapbook.com has a warm gray that I chose to use with the stencil. I inked it with Faded Jeans Distress Oxide, which I also used on my card base.

I needed to ground the Bots, so I die cut a rectangular frame made from navy blue cardstock. I thought it would be fun to turn it into a shaker, but I didn’t want my shaker bits to be too distracting because the details on the robots are so small. I opted to use vellum for the window, with Satin Matte Silver and Luminous Blue Skies Card Bling, both from A Colorful Life Designs. I stamped my sentiment with Twilight VersaFine Clair Ink and carefully heat embossed it with clear powder before I assembled the shaker.

I think this is so cute. I love these little robots. The shaker adds more fun and whimsy to the card and that stencil really sets the tone.
