Hello! I really love all of the dimension that’s in the new 3D Embossing Folder from Spellbinders, called Lush Leaves. For my first project using this folder, I wanted it to be really earthy. I had a background on my desk that I made in THIS video, and I thought it was a great start.

I spritzed the back of the kraft cardstock with water, placed it in the embossing folder, and ran it through my die cut machine. To make those gorgeous leaves stand out, I rubbed Peeled Paint Distress Oxide on them. There are several levels to the dimension, so to get really good coverage, you’ll want to use the side and corners of the pad and not just the flat surface.
My sentiment is from the new Storytelling Scrapbooking Collection, but of course, you don’t have to be a scrapbooker to use these items. I thought the “Wander” was perfect for this card because I love to wander through forests. It’s so relaxing and peaceful, being surrounded by lots of trees. I die cut it out of olive and brown cardstock and I tapped some Peeled Paint Distress Oxide on the green for some added interest. I inked my white card base with Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide, because it went well with the Kraft cardstock that’s peeking though.
I love how much is happening on this card, even though it’s really just the magic of the embossing folder. I plan on trying different colors for the leaves, but it may be tough for me to beat this look. Please visit Spellbinders to see the rest of the August release. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
